Ever since I was a little girl, I always had trouble finishing projects.  I remember my parents telling me to finish one thing before starting another…

With my knitting projects, sometimes, things haven’t changed.  I guess it’s because sometimes I get bored when the project drags on too long.  When this happens, I start something small that I can finish in an evening or a weekend, just to have the satisfaction of accomplishing something!

Here are a few of my favourite “in the interim” projects that I like to pick up because they are quick and easy:

The Holidays came and went and I had every intention of completing a number of things around the house.  Although I have not gotten around to completing the kitchen curtains (I have 8 stripped dishtowels that I plan on using), I did make my marmelade and we finally organized the kids’ room.

I had to reboil it because it had not jelled to my liking but in the end, it turned out great.  Note to self: I need to get a candy thermometer.  I stood there with an digital thermometer intended for meats and waited until the temperature was just right.

Here’s a photo of my jars:

Hello! I’m glad you are visiting my blog and reading this.

I love making things…ever since I was a little girl, my fondest memories are those of doing crafts with my mom.  And now, I am lucky enough to share this interest with my 5 year old son.

I’ve dabbled in many things over the years: pottery class, crocheting, paper crafts, sewing, knitting, and more.  I even took a year of coursework in the Fine Arts degree program.

My latest endevour is a virtual boutique on Etsy.com called daisypatchdesigns.  This may or may not be how you came across this blog…For the moment, it is mostly a knitting shop but may evolve into other things.

Through this blog, I hope to share my crafting ideas.  Thanks for reading and be sure to come back soon! 🙂
